Frequently Asked Questions
TREAT INFORMATION
Q: Where do you ship treats?
We currently ship our handmade treats to Texas, Arkansas, and Oregon. Due to state regulations, we are only allowed to sell and ship treats to states where we are registered and approved to do so.
If you're located outside of those states, you're welcome to shop our accessories like bandanas, beaded collars, and more!
Q: What ingredients do you use in your treats?
A: At The Hippie Howl, we prioritize your dog’s health and happiness. Our treats are made with wholesome all-natural ingredients like:
- Whole Wheat Fruits (like pumpkin, apples, and bananas)
- Vegetables (including sweet potatoes and carrots)
- SuperFood Powders (including beet root, strawberry, carob, and turmeric)
- Healthy fats (such as coconut oil)
- No artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors
Each treat is crafted with love to ensure they’re not only tasty but also nutritious for your furry friend. If your dog has specific dietary needs or allergies, please feel free to reach out for more information about our ingredients!
Q: How should I store your dog treats?
A: To keep your dog treats fresh and flavorful, we recommend storing them in a tightly sealed container. For optimal freshness, keep them in the refrigerator, where they will last for 2 to 3 weeks. If you’d like to extend their shelf life, you can also freeze the treats, which will keep them good for 2 to 4 months. Please note that some treats may have a shorter shelf life, so it’s best to follow the storage instructions on the treat packaging. If you have any questions about specific treats, feel free to reach out!
Q: Are your treats lab tested?
A: Yes! At The Hippie Howl, we prioritize the health and safety of your furbabies. All of our treats are produced using high-quality, organic ingredients and are tested for safety and quality. We ensure that our products meet stringent standards to provide you with peace of mind. If you have any specific questions about our testing process or ingredients, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Q: What should I do if my dog has a food allergy?
A: If your dog has a food allergy, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian before ordering any treats. At The Hippie Howl, we’re happy to provide detailed ingredient information to help you make an informed decision. Please feel free to contact us with any specific questions about our treats, and we’ll do our best to assist you in finding the right options for your furbaby.

Head Hippie
Stephanie
I’m Stephanie, founder and baker of The Hippie Howl! Born and raised in Central Texas, I grew up on a farm where my love for dogs first began. Throughout my adulthood, I’ve raised and trained various types of farm dogs. As a hobby, I’m also a dog influencer for my pack, The Cattle Dog Crew.
My passion for baking dog treats was ignited after Marbles’ diagnosis. I enjoy making her treats so much that I decided to share them, so every dog can live a groovier life. Before launching, I spent years researching pet nutrition, learning which ingredients provide real benefits and which should be avoided. I was already baking treats long before making it official, but I wanted to take things even further. I completed an online course that covered everything I needed to legally register my treats through the state, ensuring they meet all regulations and safety standards. I also took a pet health baking course to deepen my understanding of what’s good for dogs, what to avoid, and how to maximize the health benefits in each bite.
Every treat I make is backed by knowledge, care, and a whole lot of love.
CEO
Marbles
Marbles is a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix who was adopted at just 11 weeks old from a foster home in California. With her vibrant personality, she embodies the finer things in life—dressing up, wearing accessories, shopping, and savoring a delightful puppuccino!
Though small, Marbles is mighty. In June 2023, she was diagnosed with a stage three heart murmur. Then, in January 2024, she endured a traumatic brain injury from an accident, and her survival seemed uncertain. Yet, when her mom whispered that it was okay to let go if she needed to, Marbles chose to fight.
Today, Marbles continues to defy the odds, flaunting her queen status with grace and resilience every single day!
Zach
Zach is a dedicated dad, loving husband, and passionate dog dad who keeps our family and our business running smoothly. As our financial manager, he expertly handles all things numbers-related, ensuring everything adds up perfectly.
When he’s not crunching numbers, Zach enjoys spending his time outdoors. Whether he's fishing in a tranquil lake or working on a carpentry project, he finds joy in hands-on activities and being surrounded by nature.
His commitment to family and his diverse interests make him the backbone of both our home and our business. With Zach's blend of practicality and passion, we’re able to tackle challenges and celebrate successes together.
Sage
Sage loves to help come up with ideas and bake treats. She’s the perfect little assistant. Sage LOVES cats! She adores all animals, but cats hold a special place in her heart. As a proud cat mom of Luna and Freddie Purrcury, she treasures their company.
When she’s not studying hard in school or diving into the business, Sage can often be found on the soccer field or working on her latest artistic creation. With her boundless creativity and dedication, Sage is always drawing up a new masterpiece and bringing her vibrant energy to everything she does.
Asst. Pastry Chef
Nimbus
Nimbus was named after Harry Potter’s broomstick, the Nimbus 2000, and he has certainly lived up to his magical namesake since joining our family. True to his name, Nimbus always strives to be the main character in every adventure!
He has an insatiable love for food and a keen sense of when it’s time to head to the kitchen for a special treat. Whether it's a new recipe or a surprise snack, Nimbus is always first in line and full of excitement.
Beyond his culinary enthusiasm, Nimbus is a dog of many talents. His fun-loving and outgoing personality shines through in everything he does, from his playful antics to his affectionate nature. Nimbus brings joy and laughter to our lives with his boundless energy and charming antics, making every day a little more magical.
Chief Taste Tester
Ranger
Ranger, affectionately known as "Randy," is an Anatolian Shepherd mixed with a Catahoula. He plays a crucial role in our quality control, making sure each and every treat is taste-tested to perfection. Ranger earned his nickname "Randy" from his Gammie and Uncle, as his personality bears a striking resemblance to the character Randy from the classic movie A Christmas Story.
His favorite toy is his stuffed elephant, Ellie. Ranger is so attached to Ellie that you can never fool him with a new one—he always knows!
Ranger is the sweetest soul you could meet, always ready to offer hugs and cuddles. His loving nature adds an extra layer of warmth to our team.
Remembering
Theo
Theo was our black Lab and blue heeler mix—a loyal guardian, gentle soul, and the heart of our farm. Always watchful and steady, he took his role as protector seriously, making sure every member of The Crew (and every corner of the property) was safe. His favorite toy was a simple rope, which he proudly carried around, always ready for a game of tug or a moment of joy. We lost Theo unexpectedly in October 2024, and not a day goes by that we don’t feel the space he left behind. But his spirit is still with us—woven into every treat we bake and every memory we share. Theo will always be a part of The Hippie Howl, guiding us with his quiet strength and endless love
Head of Quality Control
Juniper
Juniper is the wild child of The Crew—a lovable whirlwind of English Pointer and cattle dog mix energy with zero concept of personal space or what’s actually going on. She’s chaos in the best way: always in her own little world, squeaky toy in tow (especially her fun-sized pretzel), and usually zooming through the house like she’s got a mission no one else understands. Named after the resilient juniper tree, she joined our family as a tribute to Theo, and we like to believe he sent her here with purpose—and maybe a sense of humor. When she’s not causing adorable mayhem, Juniper is cuddled up as close as possible or parked in the kitchen, ready to “help” make treats and taste-test every new creation. Her big heart and big personality bring nonstop laughs and inspiration to The Hippie Howl.
Feline Division Lead
Freddie Purrcury
Freddie Purrcury is our dramatic, star-powered tabby — named after the great Freddie Mercury because he was destined for the spotlight from day one. Abandoned young by one of our barn cats, he was rescued and raised by Sage, and he’s been her devoted shadow ever since.
He follows her everywhere, keeps constant watch like her tiny bodyguard, and insists on joining her for every car ride he believes is a rocket launch. Freddie knows what he wants, demands attention on his terms, and always claims the best window seat for his naps.
With a personality bigger than space itself and a heart he pretends he doesn’t have, Freddie brings boldness, warmth, and rock-star charm to The Hippie Howl every day.
Luna
Luna is a soft-spoken, observant kitty who prefers the quieter side of life. She’s deeply attached to Sage and follows her around with a quiet kind of devotion, always keeping a close watch just in case Sage needs her. Luna responds to Sage’s voice instantly and settles near her whenever she can, offering calm company in her own gentle way.
She loves warm window spots, soft blankets, and peaceful corners where she can relax without interruptions. Loud noises, too much energy, or Freddie’s space adventures aren’t really her style — she’d rather enjoy the calm moments and keep a comfortable distance from the chaos.
Luna brings warmth, comfort, and a peaceful balance to the home, reminding everyone that not every presence has to be loud to be meaningful.
